Why should you be affiliated
with the NCACA?
Through NCACA membership,
initial issues or situations confronting
agriculture and its producers can be addressed
effectiveldy with collective experience. By
having an annual meeting, the membership keeps
abreast of the most recent technological
advances in agriculture and business management.
Many members participate in local and state
government bodies that influence future
agriculture policies. NCACA is committed to
maintaining a long-term, responsible, informed,
professional profile for all its members.
NCACA Membership Categories
FULL MEMBERSHIP
Full members of the NCACA:
1) Provide agricultural consulting and contract
research services for a fee
2) Hold a consultant's license from the NC
Department of Agriculture
3) Possess a four-year college degree in an
agricultural field
4) Have at least two years of reputable
experience in agricultural consulting or an
approved
combination of education or experience
5) Are not engaged in the sale or application of
agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, seed or
other
agricultural materials or equipment to grower clients
for profit.
Only full members have voting privileges.
PROVISIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Provisional members have all the
qualifications of a full member except for work
experience.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate members serve on the staff of
an academic institution or regulatory agency and
can offer valuable technical information.
SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP

Supporting members are organizations with an
interest in agricultural consulting that wish to
financially support NCACA. Supporting
members contribute $300 annually.
Affiliated Membership
For those currently employed by a company owned
by a Full Member and is not engaged in the sale
or application of agricultural chemicals,
fertilizers, seed, or other agricultural
materials or equipment to grower clients for
personal or associated business profit.
Affiliated members do not possess voting
privileges.
Out-of-state Membership
For professionals that offer consulting services
for a fee not within North Carolina. He/she must
meet the criteria necessary for consulting for
the state in which they work and must not be
engaged in the sale or application of
agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, seed, other
agricultural materials or equipment to grower
clients for personal or associated business
profit.
Student Membership
For any college student interested in the
activities of the organization whose curriculum
is in an agricultural related field.
